وأعرافي هو عضو مجلس صيانة الدستور. وكان أمين المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي الإيراني علي لاريجاني أعلن أن المجلس المؤقت للقيادة سيتشكل لقيادة المرحلة الانتقالية كما ينص الدستور الإيراني على ذلك.
