وكشفت التحقيقات تسلل المتهم إلى قطاع غزة عام 2016 بتكليف من قيادات هاربة، حيث تلقى تدريبات مكثفة على استخدام الأسلحة الثقيلة ومضادات الدروع داخل معسكرات تدريبية، قبل عودته لتنفيذ مخططات داخلية.

معسكر بالصحراء

كما أقر بتخطيطه لإنشاء معسكر تدريبي في الصحراء الغربية بالتعاون مع عناصر متطرفة، بهدف تدريب كوادر التنظيم على استخدام الصواريخ المحمولة لاستهداف أهداف حيوية داخل البلاد.
