اختتم البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن مشاركته الفاعلة في أعمال المنتدى الحضري العالمي الثالث عشر (WUF13)، الذي نظمه برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية في العاصمة الأذربيجانية (باكو)، وذلك ضمن وفد المملكة العربية السعودية المشارك في هذا المحفل الدولي الرفيع، الذي ضم نخبة من صُنّاع القرار، والخبراء، والمنظمات الدولية المعنية بالتنمية الحضرية المستدامة من مختلف دول العالم.
حضور فاعل وشراكات إستراتيجية
وشكّلت مشاركة البرنامج علامة فارقة في أروقة المنتدى، عبر حضور ديناميكي مكثّف شهِد تنظيم حزمة من الجلسات الحوارية، وورش العمل المتخصصة، وعقد اللقاءات الثنائية رفيعة المستوى، وتوقيع الشراكات الإستراتيجية؛ الأمر الذي يعكس النهج الراسخ للمملكة القائم على تعزيز التعاون الدولي، والتكامل التنموي، ودعم جهود التعافي الحضري في اليمن.
وفي إطار إثراء النقاشات الدولية وتبادل الخبرات، نظّم البرنامج جلسة حوارية موسعة بعنوان «رؤى حول التعافي الحضري من تجربة البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن»، وورشة عمل نوعية تحت عنوان «مدن ومجتمعات آمنة وقادرة على الصمود»، إضافة إلى مشاركته المحورية في جلسة «الإسكان في صميم الاستجابة للأزمات»؛ حيث سلّط الضوء على دور البنية التحتية، والإسكان، والخدمات الأساسية في تعزيز الاستقرار، وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة وسط الأزمات.
تمكين وتنمية.. «المسكن الملائم» يواصل العطاء
وامتداداً لجهوده المستدامة في تحسين جودة الحياة للسكان في اليمن، شهد المنتدى توقيع اتفاقية المرحلة الثانية من مشروع «المسكن الملائم» بالشراكة مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية، وهي الخطوة التي تُوجّه بوصلة الدعم نحو تعزيز الاستقرار السكني وتطوير البيئة الحضرية في المحافظات اليمنية.
كما عقد الوفد سلسلة لقاءات ثنائية مع منظمات وجهات دولية لبحث آفاق التعاون المشترك وتبادل الخبرات التنموية.
زيارات رفيعة المستوى للجناح السعودي
حظي الجناح التعريفي للبرنامج بإقبال لافت وإشادات واسعة من كبار المسؤولين وممثلي المنظمات الدولية ووسائل الإعلام العالمية.
وتقدّم الزوار وزير البلديات والإسكان ماجد الحقيل، وسفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى جمهورية أذربيجان عصام بن صالح الجطيلي، حيث اطلعوا على المعروضات التي توثق الأثر التنموي الملموس للمشاريع السعودية في 8 قطاعات أساسية، عبر مطبوعات ومنشورات بعدة لغات عالمية تُبرز دعم قطاعات: التعليم، الصحة، الطاقة، المياه، النقل، الزراعة والثروة السمكية، إلى جانب بناء قدرات الحكومة اليمنية.
من «كان» إلى «أصبح».. توثيق سينمائي للتحول
وخطف البرنامج الأنظار بعرض فيلمه السينمائي المتميز «THEN / NOW» (كان/أصبح)، الذي يروي بلغة بصرية مؤثرة فصولاً من قصة التحول التنموي الإيجابي في اليمن، مستعرضاً الفارق الشاسع الذي أحدثته المشاريع السعودية في ترقية الخدمات وتأهيل البنية التحتية وتحسين اليوم المعاش للمواطن اليمني.
لغة الأرقام تتحدث
واستعرض البرنامج خلال المحفل العالمي حصاد جهوده الدؤوبة منذ تأسيسه عام 2018، التي تُرجمت على أرض الواقع بأكثر من 287 مشروعاً ومبادرة تنموية، نُفّذت بالتعاون والتنسيق المشترك مع الحكومة اليمنية؛ لتشكل هذه المشاريع حجر الزاوية في تحسين الخدمات الأساسية، وتعزيز الاستقرار المجتمعي، ودفع عجلة التنمية الحضرية في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية، تأكيداً على دور المملكة الريادي كأكبر داعم للتنمية والاستقرار في المنطقة.
The Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen concluded its active participation in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme in the Azerbaijani capital (Baku). This was part of the delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participating in this prestigious international event, which included a select group of decision-makers, experts, and international organizations concerned with sustainable urban development from various countries around the world.
Active Presence and Strategic Partnerships
The program’s participation marked a significant milestone in the forum, characterized by an intensive dynamic presence that witnessed the organization of a series of dialogue sessions, specialized workshops, high-level bilateral meetings, and the signing of strategic partnerships. This reflects the Kingdom’s steadfast approach based on enhancing international cooperation, developmental integration, and supporting urban recovery efforts in Yemen.
In the context of enriching international discussions and exchanging experiences, the program organized an extensive dialogue session titled “Visions on Urban Recovery from the Experience of the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen,” and a qualitative workshop under the title “Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities,” in addition to its pivotal participation in the session “Housing at the Heart of Crisis Response,” where it highlighted the role of infrastructure, housing, and essential services in enhancing stability and achieving sustainable development amidst crises.
Empowerment and Development… “Adequate Housing” Continues to Contribute
Continuing its sustainable efforts to improve the quality of life for the population in Yemen, the forum witnessed the signing of the second phase agreement of the “Adequate Housing” project in partnership with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme. This step directs support towards enhancing housing stability and developing the urban environment in Yemeni governorates.
The delegation also held a series of bilateral meetings with international organizations and entities to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and exchange developmental experiences.
High-Level Visits to the Saudi Pavilion
The program’s informational pavilion received notable attention and widespread praise from senior officials, representatives of international organizations, and global media.
Among the visitors were the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid Al-Huqail, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Issam bin Saleh Al-Jatili, who reviewed the exhibits documenting the tangible developmental impact of Saudi projects in 8 key sectors, through publications and materials in several global languages highlighting support for sectors such as education, health, energy, water, transportation, agriculture, and fisheries, in addition to building the capacities of the Yemeni government.
From “Then” to “Now”… Cinematic Documentation of Transformation
The program captured attention by showcasing its distinguished film “THEN / NOW,” which narrates, in an impactful visual language, chapters from the story of positive developmental transformation in Yemen, highlighting the vast difference that Saudi projects have made in upgrading services, rehabilitating infrastructure, and improving the daily lives of Yemeni citizens.
The Language of Numbers Speaks
During the global event, the program showcased the results of its diligent efforts since its establishment in 2018, which have been translated into reality through more than 287 developmental projects and initiatives, implemented in cooperation and coordination with the Yemeni government. These projects form the cornerstone of improving essential services, enhancing community stability, and driving urban development in various Yemeni governorates, affirming the Kingdom’s pioneering role as the largest supporter of development and stability in the region.
